WADSA Board

Role

To manage the Association in accordance with its constitution and vision, and to be ultimately responsible for all resource allocations in accordance with the needs and requests of people with disabilities in the field of sport, recreation and physical education in Western Australia.

Description

The board is a group of six delegates and consists of a President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer and two other delegates.

Functions

Broad responsibility:

The board is ultimately responsible for allocation of resources on the basis of WADSA plans, visions, needs of people with disabilities, finances and constitution.

Specific responsibilities:

The board is ultimately responsible for ensuring the evolution of the organisation based on needs, reviews, evaluation and research which includes receiving recommendations from other WADSA committees.

3.0

The board is ultimately responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient financial management of the Association.

4.0

The board is ultimately responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient programme management of the Association.

5.0

The board is ultimately responsible for ensuring effective, efficient and appropriate marketing of the Association, its activities and new initiatives.

6.0

The board is ultimately responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient administration of the Association and its office.

7.0

The board is ultimately responsible for research, evaluation and review of all Association administration, finances, planning and marketing on a regular basis, to ensure they meet the visions and needs of the members, people with disabilities in WA, the sport, recreation and physical education providers of WA, and the WA community in general.
