WADSAs established network is comprehensive through a direct service of learn to swim, participation sessions, modified activities and adaptive equipment, and also supports member clubs and community providers to assist with inclusion.
We have also developed a new Aquatics trailer that has a range of aquatic based activities that are suitable for individuals of all ages and includes kayaks, ski biscuits, fishing, raft building activities and snorkelling that is all easily transportable. Increasing the number of new aquatic options for direct WADSA services, aquatic community based services and member clubs.
WADSA provides opportunities for people with disabilities to learn to swim or be water safe.
Swimming classes are held on Saturdays at Swim West in Wembley and Swan Aquatic in Midvale during each school term.
WADSA has a strong partnership with many community service providers across WA and its member clubs who offer many aquatic based activities. Examples of these are;
