Participants will use WADSA’s modified activities and adaptive equipment to listen, respond to, perform and compose music.
The school based project is supported by Telethon
It aims to use highly modified activities and adaptive musical equipment to engage children with severe and complex disabilities in music to gain beneficial skills such as:
- Physical like motor skills & communication
- Cognitive like sensory, auditory and visual
- Social/motivational benefits of music
This cohort of children is often not able to participate actively in musical programs due to the limitation of the musical instruments offered.
