With school holidays in full swing, Play On hosted a group of young people for our Inventors Arcade Xperience, exploring the science of the world, and having plenty of fun along the way. For our young people with disabilities, there was no better place to visit than SciTech, where they got involved in sensory, interactive exploration.
Science and Games were the theme of the day for our participants! There was so much to see and do, across the day, including:
- Visiting SciTech, where we hunted for the queen Bee in the hive, tested aerodynamics of our race cars and explored a faraway planet abord the Virtual Reality Mars Rover.
- Played card games and connect 4 while we got to know new friends
- Made our own pizzas for lunch
- Completed 2 jumbo puzzles as a team
- Challenged our aim with a range of nerf gun targets and challenges
- Experimented with making our own slime to take home
Play On Junior Xperiences attract young people from across WA, with participants coming from as far as Albany and Narrogin to join in the activities, meet new people, build their skills and fuel their future dreams. In our midst, we had aspiring Astronauts, Software Engineers, Police Officers and even youngsters wanting to work at SciTech!
