About us

Sailing is a totally mixed ability sport that allows you to experience freedom on the water and a chance to compete at various levels or sail for pleasure. People can sail in small dinghy’s for one or two people, a larger keel boat that takes three to four people or on a motorised, floating pontoon for people unable to get out of their wheelchairs. We can hoist people into boats, they can step onboard or wheel onto the floating pontoon. Each session lasts about an hour unless you are training for racing and the boats are skippered/crewed by experienced sailors who allow as much interaction as the participants like or are able to enjoy.

For those folk who would like to take sailing to the next level there are mentoring and training options available to become a solo sailor or join a crew on a larger racing boat and then start to compete in localised races, progressing to Club competition and then as far as your imagination takes you – even to the World Championships ! It’s an exciting sporting opportunity that will get you hooked !
